14/02/2008The acquisition of Necoflex at the end of 2007 strengthens Monarflex’ market position in the radon membrane market in Ireland, where Necoflex since the mid 90’s has been Monarflex’ sole distributor of radon barrier membranes and accessory products. Necoflex has successfully built up the business to become market leader.
Apart from securing our position in the important radon membrane market, the acquisition of Necoflex will serve as the foundation for further expansion in the Irish market with other products; at first from the Monarflex product portfolio, and subsequently other Icopal products.
Necoflex has through a partnership with a major Irish logistics company assured a state of the art distribution system, servicing their clients in the most efficient manner.
Necoflex is now integrated into the Monarflex Product Division, but continues operating under their own name from their existing offices in the small town of Kilcoole in County Wicklow, some 60 km south of Dublin.
The acquisition has substantially complemented Icopal’s in-house competences of the radon market in general, and the membrane mitigation technologies in particular, to the future benefit of all Icopal SBUs.
